Outward flight situation for Kinmen

I’ll be returning to Taiwan later this year from working in China,
I’ll be arriving by ferry from XIamen.

I then want to fly on to Kaohsiung, do I need evidence of an outbound flight since I will already technically be inside Taiwan territory?
I heard the airlines only do it so they don’t get in trouble from the immigration department if somebody is denied a visa?

Anyone have any experience with this?

wouldn’t they be more concerned that you have an onward ticket when you board or exit the ferry since you will enter Taiwan through a seaport?

Not needed. The ferry doesn’t ask for proof of onward travel.
