i’m being deported and i can’ t come back for a ridiculus 5 years on my american passport. i’m overseas chinese as my parents both have taiwan citizenship and american.
how can i get back in? change my passport numbers? apply for a overseas chinese passport? will my 2 passports be linked and taiwan will find out that i’m not supposed to be here? help!!!
Why were u deported?
In the past getting a new passport was the easy way of getting around this problem as the passport numbers were the point of reference for the authorities locally.
Things seem to have changed that now names, birth dates, and passport numbers are crosschecked. Unless your Chinese passport is in a different name, then it doesn’t seem that your chances will be very high.
Oh don’t worry, they’ll let you back in if you agree to do your military service.
