Yeah I’ve heard that. Over here customer services is the layer in an organisation designed to keep the managers free from having to deal with customers. According to people I’ve spoken to, in North America, customer services is the part of the organisation that is designed to keep the customer happy. I’ve even heard it is a concept which permeates the company from top to bottom ! A novel idea. I think it would work in the UK & Ireland, but nobody’s tried it yet.
