P&P Food and others

Are there any other companies in Taiwan like pnpfood.

Visited their website and they have a good range of food that is clearly meant for restaurants and hotels as most of the items are packaged in lots i.e. 6 jars per box.

Are there any others that are similar and can deliver?

They have it delivered if you want to pay and you don’t need to buy by the dozen. In Taipei if order is large enough delivery was free as far as I know.

There was a company in Dihua street that had a nice range, but I need to find their business card.

I’ve asked P&P for their pricelist via email. Hopefully I get it before CNY as I would like to place an order to them.

You can go to their office and buy the food as well.

A lot of food in taiwan is mass produced and then delivered to restaurants and hotels. Many distributors.

Different food, P&P is an importer/wholesale specialized in western food.
But if people knew how many eating places actually buy precooked industrial kitchen food to just reheat and plate to save on labor cost in Europe they’d be stunned. WOW Prime’s Tasty brand made it into a business model inTaiwan.

I don’t believe they will give out their whole pricelist to an unknown person (prices change a lot, and might depend on quantity ordered), but please let me know if I’m wrong.

Rather, I think their model for retail customers is that you let them know the items you want to buy, and the quantities, when you walk into the store, and they’ll tell you the price. They’re not really set up for retail customers anyway. I recommend you download their 3-part catalog online, make a list of what you want, and walk in with it to get prices. You can then cross off anything that is too pricey, and they’ll fill the rest of the sheet as your order.

Not being in Taipei makes things a little more difficult. I was hoping for the prices and then could make the decisions and order from them. Looks like I’ll have to give them a call.

Call or email them. They’re usually very friendly.
