What does the barcode tell customs when it is scanned?
Just curious…
Not a barcode, just an easy optic character read. But some already have the same data stored in RFID-chip.
To my knowledge:
type,country of the passport,names,passport number,nationality,birthdate,gender,expiry date of passport,pers. id no.
My passport has a barcode, but I don’t know what it says about me - I think it’s just a link to their own database (fugitives, persona non gratas, stolen passports…) not information per se. Don’t really know - they can’t know more than I’ve told them, can they?
