just curious, has anyone here ever had the need to do a paternity test in taiwan - ie to see if they are a father of a baby or not? if so, what is involved and how long did it take? if not here in taiwan, how about in their home country?

AFAIK if you aren’t married to the mother at the time of birth, the write “no father” on the birth certificate (at the hospital) whether you’re the dad or not… I imagine, if you marry the lady after the birth and want your child to be yours legally, you may have to do a paternity test.
A paternity test (the results) shouldn’t take more than a week. All that’s usually involved is drawing some blood and having it tested (yours and the baby’s).
