Paying taxes for multiple jobs, totally confused

First, some info on myself.

  • I have a marriage ARC w/open work permit
  • I work two buxiban jobs, and have one private student
  • In total I work 32 hours per week and earn $86,760 per month
  • My wife has a part time job, but apparently doesn’t earn enough to pay taxes

My questions is: Do I have to submit submit tax returns and report my earnings myself every May, or does my employer have to deduct a certain percentage of money from my monthly salary for taxes?

I’m in a similar boat and what happens with me is my employer pays the 5/6%(?) minimum rate family rate tax and then I have to submit tax returns every year to make good the shortfall. With your income I would guess the same will apply.

if your employer(s) are doing all the proper salary paperwork and submitting it to tax bureau, then on May 1 you can basically go into nearest tax bureau office, show ARC and (bring NHI card) and they’ll download All the data for you automatically, including any small bank interest.

It’s quite a nice setup they’ve got.
