PBS Frontline, Positive review of Taiwanese Medical System

There is a PBS Frontline video reviewing medical systems that “work” around the world. Taiwan is included. It is a pretty positive review of the healthcare system.

Do you think its accurate?

In my experience I have had great health care experiences here, but I am coming from the USA, and was one of those without healthcare for a period of time.

I’m pretty happy with the healthcare system here too. We have lots of choices, including Chinese and Western medicine, and we can choose the more expensive options if we’re willing to pay more.

I worked in the US healthcare field for several years and it’s too rigid, too controlled by the drug and insurance companies, and too wrapped up in “managed care.”

I don’t miss it a bit.
