I have a problem with my web connection. I can access almost every site without any problems, but I cannot access my own personal websites with a particular web host. I have contacted the hosting company and they said the problem is with my ISP.
The problem is complicated by the fact my internet connection comes off a hub in the land lord’s apartment downstairs. I have tried speaking to her, but it is clear she has absolutely no understanding of how the web works. In fact, I think she thinks Yahoo! is the sum total of the internet. She did tell me the internet connection is is from the cable TV company, not Chunghwa Telecom, if that means anything.
Anyway I don’t really understand the problem either. I can still access the sites via a proxy. I also cannot access other websites on different domains hosted by the same company. I guess that maybe the server has been blocked for some reason by the ISP.
I still have to try and get the landlord to understand the problem and contact the ISP or someone who can fix it.
Can someone give me some advice?
