I have a Pentax KX for sale. It can take pictures and movies, BUT there are issues:
In manual mode if the aperture is anything other than full open (fastest the lens will go), the camera will not take a picture. If the camera can’t communicate with the lens the camera will not take a picture in manual mode at all (for example if you are using a manual lens). HOWEVER it will work under Av mode but shutter speed can’t be adjusted (it is automatic). I do not know why it does this, bad motherboard or a bad connection somewhere?
The pop up flash also does not fire at all, but it will pop up.
Auto focus is a bit weird, it kinda works but it doesn’t focus correctly (debug mode fixes this).
The kit lens is included, standard 18-55mm. The kit lens work fine, no issue but the camera is a bit weird.
If you are going to use a screw mount lens or a manual lens you must use the camera in Av mode and select your exposure based on light level.
Here’s a video of what’s happening:
2000nt for everything, lens, 4 Sanyo Eneloop batteries, and charger.
