Sorry if this seems trivial, but Costco now has Pepsi.
And I got Pepsi at the Hi-Life convenience store.
With the break of Cokeˊs monopoly should come other Pepsi sodas like 7-Up
and maybe Mountain Dew?
Simple joys of life in Taiwan…
Pespi has always been around in Taiwan, and I think several convenience stores sell it, but it’s much much smaller than Coke. I know that many movie theaters stock only Pepsi beverages, and I’ve seen them a few other places, too. Don’t hold your breath for Mountain Dew, especially since it’s going to be hard to import things from the Philippines for the foreseeable future…
It’s a matter of personal preference but I like Nestea better than the Pepsi’s version… didn’t care for the fact that Costco switched to Pepsi.
I care about Pepsi. I actually celebrated when I found it in Family Mart, then was disappointed when they stopped carrying it, then overjoyed when they brought it back again. Now if only I could find Monster Energy drinks.
Ive always preferred coke to pepsi so im not really bothered, I noticed the other week the company that makes lucozade sold out to Sun Tory im really hoping they introduce Lucozade orange to Taiwan.
Hasn’t Pepsi been available all along in the major convenience stores here?
My school has it in a can vending machine. It may well have gone though as I rarely drink soda or anything else from the machine and don’t think it was too popular with the kids.
Just got “buy two get two free” for 600ml bottles at Family Mart. Not sure if it’s nationwide, but it’s a steal.

Its a glucose energy drink in actual fact and comes in a few flavours, original, orange, lemon, apple and cherry i believe now, the orange and original flavours are massively popular in the UK. I always found if i had a particularly nasty sore throat and cold the orange lucozade was all i could drink, whether or not it had actual medicinal properties i really dont know but it was refreshing to drink. You can buy it in HK but its not quite the same as the UK version.
Oh Mt. Dew. I miss it so much too. But my favorite ever is “Irn-Bru” from Scotland. That stuff is amazing.
he he took me ages to learn how to say girders that way

Personally i dont like Irn Bru i think the advert is spot on it really does taste like it was made from girders. Im not a doctor pepper fan either and that Hey Song sarsparilla is revolting
I still remember getting lucozade as a kid when I was ill. My mum was a nurse, so in retrospect I guess she knew it was rubbish, but it was all part of the experience that made being ill worthwhile.
Best marketing gimmick ever: this bottle of chemicals and shite is good for you! This from Wikipedia:
A stated purpose of sports drinks, which provide many calories of energy from sugars, is to improve performance and endurance. In an analysis by Matthew Thompson and colleagues from the Oxford Centre for Evidence Based Medicine, of 431 marketing claims of performance enhancement, most cited no evidence. 174 sources were cited for Lucozade; of them, Thompson found only three studies of high quality with a low risk of bias. The rigorous studies that did show improved endurance were “of limited relevance to most people because the tests were on elite athletes”. Thompson said that for the vast majority of people drinking such products “could completely counteract exercising more, playing football more, going to the gym more”.

Yes! They used an Iron Maiden song. For that reason, I’ll remember Lucozade.
Costco has Mountain Dew at the deli!!!
I had like 6 refills and went to the bathroom twice.
I forgot to check if it is sold separately.
I think all Miramar Cinema offers Pepsi. By all, I mean both of them…
