Permanent Residence via Investment in Government Bonds

Hi everyone,

I’m from Malaysia and am interested in finding out more about the Taiwanese PR via investment option. It’s my understanding that to qualify, there is an option to invest in NT$30 million worth of government bonds over 3 years. I find it a little hard to get information about this visa and I have a few questions:

(1) Does the investor have to spend a certain amount of time in Taiwan during the 3 year period in order to qualify for the PR?
(2) Is the investor issued a residence card (ARC) at the start of the 3 year investment period?

I’d like to find out more about this and other options of mgrating to Taiwan. I’ve never lived in Taiwan before but have visited a couple of times and I love the place. If anyone could recommend any migration agents or organisations who could help me learn more, please let me know.

Thank you so much everyone!

you should hold an ARC when you apply for the APRC, but don’t need to spend the 3 yrs in Taiwan.
