I wouldn’t recommend going with them like that. You never know what kind of thugs they might be. It might turn from simple scam to violent robbery. The safe thing to do is hang up in the first place. An air horn might come in handy, just to irritate them too. Anyone know where to buy a pocket air horn to blast into the phone?

I suddenly forget to speak chinese every time i get one of these calls. Just keep saying ‘Hello do you speak English?’, That gets rid of them real quick.
Had some Darwin award canidate call me from China 2 years ago with the’You owe me money, pay up or the family dies’ scam. This idiot forgot to block his number, and I graciously passed it onto a CID buddy of mine. Needless to say, it frustrated the hell out of him when I kept laughing at his poor english- he hung up disappointed.
