I’m going back to Europe and I want to be able to receive and send SMS text messages on my phone in Chinese. The phone is bought in Taiwan.
Can someone confirm that receiving and sending Chinese messages abroad is no problem?

worked for me with both APTC and Chunghua when I was in the USA (中華+亞太)
It’s not so much as a problem for the networks but a problem for the phone itself. As long as it has a chinese font, then your AOK.
Yes, and someone even told me it’s also in the internal hardware of the phone. Buying a phone abroad and flashing it with a Chinese firmware would not guarantee you can handle Chinese messages according to him.

Not a problem for me with Chunghwa in the UK and Ireland.
