I’ve got a friend in Taipei who wants to take a photo in traditional clothing. I’ve done this in JiuFen. Is there a place like this close to Taipei?
This might be a bit expensive but you can always go to the wedding photo places. I know when I got married, they had a bunch of traditional clothes that you could use to take photos. Of course, they’d probably want to do a full on photo shoot and charge a fair bit for it.

A semi informal photo shoot could be booked in the past for 5000 NTD.

Magic.s 變身寫真館 is quite famous in Taipei.
Or walk in a bridal store with photo service and ask to see what costumes they have, then decide. (I remember about $15000 for about 30photos and give u a really nice quality album too, but u can bargain)

All great suggestions. I forwarded some info to my friend. They are staying in a nice hotel so I’m sure the concierge can help them to arrange a visit. Googling a bit, I didn’t realize that this is such a big thing in Taipei. Looks like fun.
