I stumbled upon that statue while looking for nineteenth-century stuff thatâs long gone from that street. In fact, for what I was looking for, Iâm not even sure the relevant part of the street is there anymore.
Itâs weird looking at really old newspapers, and then Googling the address in the paper (whether an ad or an article). Sometimes the address may still be there (e. g., in the French Quarter), but other times, Iâm like, holy smokes, things sure have changed!
