Piclens - Awesome image browser in 3D

Piclens is an extension for Firefox, IE, and Safari. It takes images from search results and displays them in a 3D browser like the Apple coverflow layout.

Freakin’ amazing and useful. For example, if you want to see “Taipei 101” in google image search you can easily browse thousands of related images without going to each page separately. (a friend told me it also works for porn  ) Of course you can zoom in and out and visit the home page if you want.

This is one of the best extensions I have ever seen. Get it now.

Here are the sites that it currently supports:

Flickr
Photobucket
Picasa Web Albums
deviantART
Smugmug
Facebook
MySpace
Bebo
Hi5
Friendster
Google Images
Yahoo Images
Ask Images
Live Images
AOL Images

It’s brilliant. I was using it with FF2.xx but it doesn’t work on FF3 yet.

I do however, have a pic-lens plug-in running on my website. It does the same thing, but because I have the software on my site, it’ll work with any browser. Full screen slideshows created automatically when I post photos. It can also be configured to have audio and video, but I haven’t tried that yet.

Wow. Cool.
