Pillow stuffing

I had some body length pillows made in Manila and brought them back empty figuring I could buy stuffing or microbeads here in Taipei. The microbead supplier I found in Zhonghe actually said it was too expensive to be worth it to fill my pillows up with his stuff

Can you suggest a place where I can get pillow foam instead?

When filled, the pillows would look something like this:

Turkey stuffing might be a good choice … :ohreally:

Nice pillow … for when you’re single …

Not sure; I’d start by asking my local bedding shop and checking at the fabric market, Dihua St. But I don’t know whether it would pan out.

Pillow foam? Do you mean polyester cotton? That’s stuff is really awful during the summer - too hot and springy and not snuggly at all. There’s memory foam, but that comes in a block and you aren’t going to find one that shape. I reckon your best bet is to head to a bedding shop or Ikea and buy 4 regular down pillows, hack them open, and stuff your oversize pillow with that. I guess that’s to set you back at least NT$4,000 though.

I bought two pillows, one small one larger, from the regular 10nt stores. Both so damned uncomfortable. Then I got the idea to open them and stuff the larger ones excess stuffing (polyester stuff) into the smaller one and shove more stuffing into the sides of my pillowcase where the smaller one doesn’t fill the empty space.

Point is, even that cheap stuffing-filled pillows they sell have decent enough polyester to put together some decent pillows. Use those. Hypoallergenic and cheap. Just make sure to knead the stuff beforehand so its not lumpy.

Dihua St. is a good first place to look.
