A notice arrived at my business address requesting I go to the listed police precinct. There is a case number and I am curious what this could be about. Is there a way I could check online?
I registered a Taiwan company 8 years ago to bill consulting clients. It’s a broad mandate so I can do anything from provide business advice to importing or exporting goods. So I am unaware what this lawsuit could be about at the moment. Will visit the police station tomorrow (a merry Christmas indeed - bah humbug!)
Usually that’s what the pink stuff is about. Like a court summon or something.
But usually if you have a criminal charge, or is suspected of wrongdoing, then you’ll get summons to go to the police station for a statement.
But then if you got a court summon over some court cases, I don’t know. I know you can check online, or call the relevant court to find out exactly what’s going on.
It does not indicate on the notice what type of lawsuit it is - civil or criminal. It just says to bring my company chop and the pink slip to the police precinct listed and if I cannot make it by 15 Dec (it looks like it was issued 14 Dec) then I have up to 2 months to pick up the summons at that police station.
