A friend obtained a playstation (the origninal) with no cables. The power cord and video display cable are missing. Does anyone know where to get these?
Also, where can PS1 games be obtained at this late date?

if you haven’t looked around the underground mall behind taipei station that’s your best bet. i know some of the stores have second hand ps1 games.
Thanks Tempo Gain, I’ll have a look around there again. I’ve been through there several times but haven’t seen any dedicated games shops even though Miltownkid has also said there were a few.
Any ideas on the cables? That appears to be the first obstacle.

For older equipment, I always try eBay. In fact, searching for “PS1 AND cable” brings up this lot. Loads of possibilities there. I haven’t played videogames since the PS1, but when my friends and I had a university reunion piss-up a couple of years ago we bought a Playstation and all the old games we used to play specifically for that weekend (from eBay). I think it cost about £40, total. A great time was had by all playing Tekken 3, watching cheesy Kevin Smith films and getting rat-arsed (just like college days).

are you sure you’re looking in the right one? (there are several in area.) to get to the right one leave the subway from the north end of station, go up escalator and straight ahead. if you keep walking, you’ll get to the mall above the subway line. don’t do that, take the staircase down one more level and head to the mall that goes under the elevated highway behind the train station. it’s called the “taipei city mall,” if you follow those signs you should get it. the game stores start about halfway down.
