I’m looking for a poetry book to use in a tutor class with an elementary-aged ESL student with excellent English skills. I’d prefer something that introduces basic poetic styles and tools (e.g. sonnet, haiku, simile, onomatopoeia, etc.) with some examples and exercises, and possibly space to write.
