Polka-dot hands

about 3 years ago i had my thryoid nuked with radioactive iodine to treat a moderate case of grave’s disease (over-active thryoid/hyperthyroidism). During that time i also developed a mild case of vitiligo (loss of pigment - also an autoimmune disease). i take thyroid supplements everyday but have been taking too low of a dose becuase taiwan doesn’t carry my dose… since being in taiwan the vitiligo has gotten worse, especially on my hands. about a week ago i grew a few white eyelashes and eyebrows. :s The endocrinologists here don’t seem to be bothered by this, nor by the fact that i’m taking less of a dose than i should. When i am on the correct dose, my skin re-pigments itself. Therefore, i would like to try out a natural alternative but don’t want to walk into any old chinese medicine clinic. does ayone know of a reputable chinese medicine doctor in the taipei area who might know what they are doing? :help:

Cool. Can we see a picture?

Can you take two pills, or maybe pill-split to take 1.5 pills, or whatever, to get to your proper dosage?

no, unfortunately not.

becuase it’s a synthetic substance to replace something that my body doesn’t produce, it is tricky to get the exact amount… took 6 months for the doctors back home in the states to determine i need to take .112mcg a day to make the level right for my body. splitting a pill in half gives me too much and causes other problems like shaky hands, heart palpitations, rapid weight loss.

Be aware that if you embark on a course of Chinese medicine, you’ll very likely be told to stop taking your existing medication.

i figured as much that’s why if i decide to go that route i want it to be through someone who knows what theyre doing
