one good thing i have seen despite my illness this past month (outside of the TRULY cute nurses!!)is the TW health care system itself. they are basically pretty fast and i trust the competence of the doctors here, especially those at the various branches of NTU hospital. still waiting for another test result and have one more test to go thru, but i’m basically statisfied with the care i’ve received.
i can’t say the same for a couple of hospitals in houston. to my memory, a lot of nurses in the states are jaded and sit on their fat asses. these little girls here work hard. i’m very impressed.

thanks. it’s up and down. so far they’ve pretty much ruled out the worst. so i’m not really that worried now.just uncomfortable.
Well I hope you are comfortable soon. Even knowing that you aren’t dying doesn’t make being sick enjoyable.
I used to have positive feelings about the Taiwan healthcare system, and then I started hearing awful tales from friends. Possibly the worst being a very dear friend who had beaten cancer in her twenties, a reappearance in her thirties and found a breast lump as she neared her forties. They fucking lost the lump! That means there is no way of knowing of it was benign or nasty.
Then of course when you are sick you have to hurdle the the arbitrary operations and needless tests. The system completely panders to the Taiwanese penchant for hypochondriasis.
Still, I’m glad to hear you’re getting a good time in there poster. And yes, it needs to be said when things in Taiwan go right. Hope a recovery is imminent.

well havent you heard? thats why a lot of young cute girls in taiwan aspire to be nurses so they can marry those young doctors who make above average incomes !!
and why a lot of the toll station attendants end up marrying the young highway patrol officers. Its all about CONTACT and OPPORTUNITY
If you wanna marry a plumber, work at a hardware store, you wanna marry a doc? work at a hospital. wanna marry a teacher? Keep going to “adult education” etc etc
But never marry a railroad man…
