I have seen deep fried ones in markets before. different but similar. the holes are pushed, not all the way through and more like criss crossed lines. pressed style. Not the same, but maybe ok?
‘Can You Buy Potato Waffles in the USA? Sadly, you can’t buy potato waffles in the US or find them anywhere that I know of in the US, which is a real shame for Brits who miss potato waffles while they’re traveling overseas or Americans who have gotten used to them and now want them day and night’
If you can’t buy them in the US it’s probably very hard to find in Taiwan. They are seemingly very British!
