The US doesn’t want war with anybody its own size. It has no problem raining shock and awe down on some little country somewhere though that can’t defend itself but the military-industrial messiah complex is laying low during Operation Ukrainian Freedom because it would just look awkward. Once Operation Ukrainian Freedom has faded from memory though look for Operation Iranian Freedom to start ramping up again.
