Yes, I wonder about this aging demographic argument, and whether it will really play out like that over the next 30-50 years. Technology may keep progressing to the point where having lots of working-age people ain’t that important anymore. It may turn out to be like Malthus arguing in 1798 that the world is at risk of running out of food. Or, this doomsday argument may have more legs.
