President Tsai's approval ratings

That’s why we should be spending time and money on r and d to getter technologies up to snuff. The coal people that understand your points also understand we are dumb to just st it’s newer and won’t work and turn off our thinking caps.

And then subsequently be acquired by Chinese State-owned enterprises if God forbid we have another KMT administration?

The merger and acquisition development model would work if Taiwan were to choose to revert back to socialist-nationalism and expand its debt level to 400% of GDP pump cash into SOEs/party-controlled “national champions”.

When big companies fail, they fail spectacularly, like Nokia, Blackberry, HTC, Sharp, and more recently ZTE. Japan was able to block the Chinese government from acquiring Sharp, but the same cannot be say about a KMT administration.

By the way, no organization starts caring about the big picture simply because it’s gotten big. It doesn’t work that way.

It works the opposite direction. First you care about the big picture, and then that helps you get big.

Then when they’re too big, they start thinking they ARE the big picture, and lose track of the world outside themselves. Then they lose track of the world inside themselves, for want of a reality check. Then comes the decline and fall.

Foreign investment is up 20% in 2019.
