Primary schools in Taiwan using principally Hanyu Pinyin

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the education system in Taiwan. I know that most children learn pronunciation using Zhuyin (Bopomofo) in Taiwan, but are there some schools that mostly use Hanyu Pinyin like on the mainland? I´d like to know if some Taiwanese learn to pronounce with Pinyin, and then mostly use Pinyin to type on phones and computers during their daily lives.

Thanks a lot!

Nope, it’s really unused here. Maybe there’s some kind of exception I don’t know about

Thanks for the answer!

That´s really interesting yeah, there aren´t even some schools catering to children of mainlanders or anything like that?

No, they just go into the main system. Their father will be a local, in general.
