Problems with new skype 1.4?

I’ve just downloaded skype 1.4,and it doesn’t work.Does anybody know what’s up?My gf. has the same problem.

Have you used it before? Do you have a firewall installed? Is the proper port open?

Yes, I had the previous version.I have windows sp2 firewall,but I have already enabled skpe in it.

Can you define “Doesn’t work” ?
Is your microphone so quiet that you are barely audible ? That was a problem with the last problem. It could be fixed by manualy editting a configuration file.
