Looking for something else today, I was on the Arkansas Department of Education website and found out that there is a wide variety of professional development available online through the IDEAS AETN website! For me, this is great news. I have to have sixty hours of PD per year to maintian my license. I’m not sure if you can use this for PD in other states, but you should look into it if you’re a professional teacher and need the PD for your license.
After signing up myself, I believe you can use this for any state, but you must declare which district you work for, as there is no option for out of specified state, or currently un-employed. I used the last district and school I worked for in AR and didn’t have any problems.
