Does anyone know where I should go to pay a fair price for the sony DSR-PD170 DVCAM camcorder? I have found this website: yiicheau.com.tw/camera/dsr-p … d170-2.htm

I don’t know if this is the best price I could get in Taiwan?

I rekon you get the best prices in the shop - just bargain. If they don’t lower the price to what you expect ask for free accessories (bag, spare battery, tapes etc.)

It’s kinda tough to say with pro-grade DV cams. I’d check with Sony to establish an upper limit and then ask a few speciality DV shops. Beware of grey market goods from Japan.

Try Kaifeng St. nearby Bo Ai Rd. which is kind of between the Taipei train station and Hsimenting. There a lot of shops over there that sell video cameras. Look around that neighborhood.
