My company is preparing a working permit for me and got a letter today that the CLA now requests 5 years working experience! I gave them a proof of employment letter from my first employer which states 3 1/2 years. Anyway now I got till November 30 to get another 1 1/2 years awesome! The prob is that all the other companies are rather big and have slow HR departments. I might be able to get copies by mail but I doubt I can get originals by post in that time frame. … anyone has such issues as well?
That’s bullshit. I suggest contacting the CLA yourself. Its still 2 years for a BA, 1 year for a Masters and (I think) 8 years for job-related experience. Someone is pulling your plonker.
well it’s indeed 5 years cause due to vocational training… they could have told me that a couple month ago… now I got 8 days to get that… :s
How do they check this?
What if the company you worked for had gone out of business?
What would stop someone from producing a letter from a company that say had gone out of business, and them claiming they had worked there?
Or what if you claimed you were self employed?
I have my doubts that they are capable, willing, or able to check. They just need check marks on the requirements list.
