Proxy server for China-based internet users

Er, I need one. Can anyone help? Willing to pay a subscription but obviously will need one that changes its IP address as and when it gets rumbled by our phlegmy friends in the PSB.

Also need a DNS server outside the Motherland with the same characteristics.

I’ll probably get shot nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww_____________________________

I’ve heard good things about these guys: metropipe.net/

You pay for use of their proxy, which I believe is in Eastern Europe. All traffic between you and the proxy is heavily encrypted.

Cheers. I’ve also found these guys: findnot.com/?1_proxy_server

Wonder if they’re any good? I’ll check it all out anyway.

You’ve also got relakks.com/?cid=gb
You do a VPN connection to them and then surf via that.

I’m on a trial run for Findnot and it’s working. US$100 a year. VPN with 34 servers in 6 countries. No probs so far.

Oh dear. Plenty of probs. They just keep cutting off the service saying that you are “abusing” it by sending “mass emails”. They cut it off once right after re-activating it and before I had even had a chance to log in with my “new” password. No attempt whatsoever to explain.

Smells like a scam. I presume all of these firms operate this way. Forget it…

Do you run Windows? Do you have an updated virus checker? And a malware checker like AdAware?

You may actually be sending out a bunch of emails without knowing it.

Nope. That was not the problem. As I wrote, they suspended me even before I had a chance to log into the system at all to do anything. When I was able to log on I was using an SSH tunnel on Firefox alone over port 80. Anything resembling email sent by any other software would not have gone via their proxy servers.

So now I’m trying to sign up for Cotse, but it seems to be basically impossible to use a credit card on the internet now unless you have a US bank in the US. So I am trying to buy e-gold. The whole thing sucks.
