Anyone know of a pub near SOGO on Chungxiao East Road in Taipei that shows sports (like US baseball/basketball)? If you do, please let me know. Thanks.

Don’t know about pubs but I went to the TGIFriday’s the other day (next to Sogo). They have several TVs with sports on but it’s not satellite TV. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive even though they were very busy. The waitresses wear fishnet stockings with holes in them. They all spoke English quite well. I overheard the bartender girl setting up a language exchange with one of the customers. Pretty decent cheeseburger too.
The Brass Monkey on Fuxing North is pretty close…

Malibu East is in easy walking distance. Check Taipei Times or www.taipeipubs.com for correct address
the pig in tienmou is close as well! If you are looking for north american sports you may just want to turn on your tv and search for a while.
