Could pubs publish their opening hours?
Very few open in the daytime which pisses me off because I often finish work at 11a.m.
I don’t mean restaurants, these ‘pubs’ are nothing but. Pub meaning public house, to serve the public which surely means opening in the daytime even though it may not be too profitable.

Don’t really know many pubs in Taipei, at least not in the proper English sense of the word that are open from morning to night. Closest I could suggest would be a drink on the patio at Carnegies.
If that is not the funniest definition of a business i’ve ever seen…! 
The previous post reveals the problem here. SERVICE! They appear to have no idea that if you supply decent service and open sociable hours you may increase your business. This forum is entitled, Restaurants, Bars and Clubs.
Yet, most places mentioned are neither, they are fast food joints, the worst service of all being in the often mentioned pizza cafes who of course sponsor this site!
The culture here is often get the mug in, rip him or her off with crap service and totally over priced goods and don’t care if they return because the next idiot will soon come!
How can a business be called a pub when it doesn’t even open to serve it’s customers! Now for instance you have a Rugby World Cup on with games starting as early as 2:30 and yet some bars have the nerve to close and still call them ‘Sports Bars!’ Thank God for Brass Monkey, Malibu West, Carnegies etc. for opening. And yes yuli these PUBS are busy and do make money.
How can a country attract tourists when you cannot even buy a beer in the afternoon? Therefore, we work here then as soon as a holiday comes up off we go to better places where you can find good service and that cater to tourists.
Yes, and in other countries nearby the pubs open all day and they make good money even in the daytime!
Please support your local pub!
Convince pub owners that by following your advice they will get more return per unit of their effort than they are getting now, and they will follow your suggestions - it’s that simple. 
IOW, one could wonder why you are spending your time venting on this BBS when you could be talking to pub owners and change the world to one you like better…
