Drinking water map 飲水地圖 apparently shows all publicly available drinking water in Taiwan and is maybe managed by the government. Could be useful during an earthquake or other emergency.

So the gov is getting pretty worried about our looming water crisis then?
When I open the map I only get the locations with the green icon, I don’t get to see all the blue ones x_x
Is there an app for that?
In the UK and in Germany there’s an app called Refill listing lots of public water fountains and stores that fill your water bottle for free.
Far too many plastic water bottles get thrown away here each day…
Here the plastic issue is a different ball game. There are water fountains everywhere. As common as hepatitis.
Sometimes things here are so disposable for a reason. Not always a good reason, but very worthy of discussion with people.
Then theres the issue of water contamination. It can be quite bad here. Depends on area but in places like Kaohsiung i wouldnt drink the public fountain water unless i was already dizzy (from dehydration, not pollution fumes)
