My mom will be coming to Taiwan on a special visitor visa in February. She would prefer to stay at an apartment rather than a hotel, and having stayed in a quarantine hotel myself recently I agree that an apartment would be the better option. The contract on my current apartment ends in April, so I am thinking that I will rent an apartment, allow my mother to quarantine there, and then after she leaves Taiwan I can move in and make it my new home. I think that’s legal.
My questions are as follows:
-
If you are quarantining at home, are you obliged to tell your neighbours and or landlord?
-
Can a landlord legally tell you that you can’t quarantine there?
-
Are you legally allowed to quarantine in 加蓋 apartments?
-
How does trash work, can she open their front door and dump the trash for me to then later collect it?
-
Can delivery drivers leave food outside the door?
-
If there are two family members (husband and wife) quarantining together at home, do they have to stay away from each other?
If it matters, I’m in New Taipei City.
