Bathroom reminds me of a hotel bathroom. Nice. Has a tub with curtain, good water pressure, decent sink with counter space and towel racks. It also has ventialtion.
One air conditioner in the living room (kind of old looking), we want an air conditioner in the bedroom too and plan on bringing the one we have now.
The livingroom ceiling is vaulted to about 16 feet or more. The kitchen / entry ceiling is a bit low from the loft space above. The bedroom is at about normal height.
No
Yes, but the loft is pretty spacious and you can kneel and still have headroom.
Yes. Middle aged…teetering on old. No English, but the wife speaks fluent Mandarin and Taiwanese . Not very friendly, very business like.
I fought this one tooth and nail and lost. Yes there is an agent involved who really didnt do anything, but we just found out today that there is an agent fee of 3000 NT.
The windows are very tall. The patio is enclosed and has its own windows too. Bad thing is they do face East.
But, we plan on having thick curtains to block the sun during the summer. We both work during the day, so it shouldnt be that bad. The view is really great.
If you like it, rent it. Don’t bother what your neighbour pays, or your mate.
Ask if there is a discount if you pay a couple of months at a time.
Real question is: Can you afford it? Is it a good location for you? Is it the size you want?
It’s all about the relationship! Get your lady to do the deal.
Even though 17 ping is a pretty small space for two (As one realestate agent said to me, “you have to love each other to live in such a small space” ), 15K is cheap for anything in the city, especially a 3 yo building with security and service.
It seems you’ve already asked all the right questions and you know what you want. The only other important one to me would be the noise. Is it close to a main road or other potential sources of noise?
Not sure what you mean by “close to IKEA”, though. If the apartment is on Minquan and IKEA/Asiaworld is on Nanjing (or, is there another one?), I wouldn’t call that close. There’s Minsheng Rd. between them, for one thing.
And ALWAYS do the “temple check walkaround” in the neighborhood. Might seem quiet when you look at it, but get a good festival or minor god’s birthday with a temple tucked into a nearby alley and you’re not sleeping in anytime soon.
