Quickest way to Baishawan from Nangang via public transport

Have gone to Baishawan via MRT to Danshui with a bus ride to Baishawan — takes close to 2 hrs. Living at eastern edge of Neihu (Dahu Gongyuan) would it be easier to take the local train from Nangang to Keelong and then the bus?

the trouble with the train idea is two fold (and it may be faster but there are two huge obstacles).

1-the train schedule. sitting around the station for half an hour waiting for the train to come might mess things up.
2-the coastal road north of Keelung is a massive traffic jam on the weekends, nobody moves anywhere quickly.

You could take the MRT to Dazhi, then taxi to Shilin MRT(130NT), then go to Danshui and catch a bus. That would shave maybe 10 minutes off your journey.

might be quicker to just take the blue line down from Nangang, no?

No, longer. First going the wrong way to Nangang, then changing trains at Nangang, which is a bit of a walk, then another change at Taipei Main Station. I’d say at least 10 minutes longer.
