I am looking for rain-x or a local product of similar abilities. I checked a yellow hat and A-mart but I couldn’t find anything with rain-x’s amazing water beading abilities in Taipei. Any suggestions before I have someone bring it with them from the USA?
Have you tried B&Q? I am not sure what A mart is… That stuff is essentially silicone oil by the way, it just repels water droplets.
Any of those big car accessory shops have it. I use it and have bought it/seen it in most of those type of outlets.
It is not a common find, but it is around. Yes ‘a.Mart’ has it (use to be GEANT), they are far and few between (the stores) but keep an eye out or check out their homepage for locations (google search ‘fe geant’, then translate (google is nice that way) and then locations).
Rain-X works wonders! I use it on my helmet visor, and even in a light rain it just takes a good look left and then right, and it is clear as dry. Doesn’t seem to last as long on plastic visors as it does on glass windows, but is great stuff and I highly advise it to anyone!
I have been bringing it back with me from the states, but like the other poster mentioned it is around and you just need to keep an eye out (little ‘random store’ near my place has it as well in the ‘car care’ area).
