Rare Ice Cream Finds

I’m with @afterspivak on the Meiji ones. A lot of the ice creams here are, well, worryingly cheap.

So hot, walking around Taipei today and the outdoor pools aren’t open yet. So, my friend and I decided on ice cream as a good second choice to cool down with. The trouble is, the only places we could think of were Swenson’s and Friday’s, both are ok but not great. I recall there used to be a cool place in Ximenting run by an American guy but I don’t know if that’s still around. Maybe it was called Gelato? Any other recommendations or favourite spots?

With warmer weather here and summer a couple months away, it would be good to post any rare ice cream finds you find. Imports come and go all the time and are not reliable, helps to share. This was at Wellcome today. A bit pricey, but good! [1523693454976]

I serendipitously saw Ben & Jerry’s ice cream at the Wellcome near Dapinglin mrt. They are 249 nt each which may not sell and get discontinued so might as well get some and enjoy while you can.
