My ARC expires on August 8th. Can I apply for my new visa in Hong Kong on the same day as it expires, or do I have to wait until the following day? Secondly, for whatever strange reason, although my ARC expires on the 8th, my work permit doesn’t expire until the 11th (a Sunday). I’ll be applying for the extendable visitor’s visa (I’ll be studying full-time when I come back) in Hong Kong … if I apply for my new visa on the 8th, will it matter that my work permit hasn’t expired yet? Finally, for new visas in Hong Kong, do I need anything else besides the passport photos, application, onward plane ticket, and letter of admission from the university here?
