I’m willing to go with your opinion on this one. If they don’t want to start using the nuclear power plant, which of these two do you think they would choose if they had to increase electricity production?
I also agree on finding ways to reduce electricity consumption, but is any country having success in that regard? If so, how did they primarily do it?

I wouldn’t call it nonsense. I do rely a great deal on my ears, mainly as a proximity warning. It even surprises me how much I depend on them. I’ve been in situations cycling when people have passed me and startled me. I remember it at least once with another bike, and one time was an electric scooter. Even if I had mirrors, my ears give me an added advantage that I’d rather not give up.

I’m more attached to my nose and jaw. Full face it is!
…I can still hear plenty well in my full face and there’s no substitute for conscientious defensive driving anyway. And there’s certainly no substitute for my face.

Yeah agreed 100%. Anyone not wearing a full face on the road is asking for it. I had an argument with an acquaintance a while back about this. He also talked about needing his ears. I have been riding motorcycles and using full face helmets since I was young. You can hear perfectly with full face helmets. I don’t understand the argument. My face is the money maker. Go full face!
Agreed. I actually hear better with a full-face helmet at higher speeds because I don’t get wind noise.
They could make it harder to get a scooter license, which would gradually get the numbers down, combined with punitive action against unlicensed riders.
Ideally they’d make the test more meaningful and relevant to on-road riding at the same time, but that’s not really how they roll.
I’m told that one of the reasons there are such huge queue’s for the scooter test at the moment is the pending introduction of an “S” (presumably without the reverse) into the test, starting next month.
If this is true, I wonder what the objective is?
