A TV channel in the Netherlands is to broadcast a programme where a terminally ill woman will pick someone to receive her kidneys.
Some politicians have claimed The Big Donor Show should not be broadcast, but the BNN network insisted it was a good way to highlight a shortage of organ donors.

Leave it to the Dutch to come up with something like this.
Edit: I was just thinking, maybe it’s not so weird to choose who gets your organs if the circumstances allow for it to take place that way, as in this case. They are yours after all.

Yeah, well imagine being the guy who doesn’t get it. “Why didn’t you give it to Joe?” “Well, I don’t like the cut of his jib.”

Yeah, but isn’t it that way already? Many people die waiting for an organ transplant. They too will wonder why they aren’t getting picked.
Theoretically you have a squadron of ethicists pondering these difficult parameters, but I like the idea of televising it a lot.
Now if they could hook Trump in, well that would be perfect. “You’re not fired, you’re completely fucked without this here liver! And I’m having it for brekkie with some onions, so sod you!”
The need for a kidney created the need for a show.
A man can eat a Corgi. Dutch people die from a lack of transplants.
Freedom of information is both scary and liberating.
What do you know of the kidnapped Madeline?
Don’t blame TV for the way we respond to it.
It is good that TV shows us what is wrong with democracy.
Life is more than just a bunch of mad scooter drivers.
Is that reality TV tho? The participants are all dedicated to their craft. All the other shows are just Joe Blows out for a buck.
You haven’t seen season 5 then huh? A colonic, a horse falling down, a streetfight in the house, crybabies gallore.
Oh, and some great fights too.
The black guy is being pushed though. He should have lost his fight, but he’s got charazzma!
“This is my zone. This is my home. No one can come in my zone or my home.”

Oh dear God, why is it, that sounds like something MiltownKid would say
What do you mean “we”? Reality TV has nothing to do with me. I’m proud to say I’ve never seen one reality TV show. I’ve got my own reality. Not worthy of a TV show, perhaps, but it’s all mine. There’s even nudity!
