Rearranging the Deckchairs on the Ship of State

Like many others, I’m looking forward to the smackdown next Tuesday of the Republican coup d’etat but I despair that anything will actually change.

While many individual Democrats have healthy attitudes towards changing the course of the ship of state from its present heading towards the Shoals of Armageddon, the leadership of the Democratic Party doesn’t seem that different ideologically from their Republican counterparts.

Will the shift in political power next week amount to nothing more than rearranging the deckchairs? Do we, the people, really matter in the decision-making process in Washington any longer or are we just along for the ride?

I’m disappointed that Pelosi has stated several times that if the dems take back the house (and senate) they still won’t impeach bush. Maybe its just talk now before the vote, but I think bush, cheney, rummy and condi should be thrown in an Alaskan gulag for the rest of their miserable lives for what they did to America and Iraq. I hold the incompetent dirtbag rice personally responsible for sleeping at the wheel and letting 911 happen.

There is an excellent Scott Ritter and Sy Hersch audio interview that you can hear here: Target Iran

You have to download a real-audio plug-in, but its worth this small effort. Scott goes into how the dems/reps are the same when it comes to supporting Israel and he thinks going into Iran is going to happen. Near the end he talks about the letting the nuclear genie out of the bottle and what will likely happen. (loss of an American city at some point - pick one…). The genie is let loose because 40K boots on the ground in Iran will get quickly bogged down and cornered and a new class of nuke will be used to put the hammer down on Iran. It’s pretty scary and this isn’t false fear coming from a bush dimwit. Scott Ritter has always been right on the money with his analysis.

Add: Colin Powell’s new book is coming out in which he states he was fired by bush. Its unbelievable this good man was let go (along with his exceptionally bright assistance Lawrence Wilkerson who resigned previously becuase he saw the writing on the wall), and rice is given this key position. (and her man, the 911 cover-up report commissioner Philip Zelikow is appointed as her Counselor).

No, it doesn’t. Not when one posts material such as this…[quote]but I think bush, cheney, rummy and condi should be thrown in an Alaskan gulag for the rest of their miserable lives for what they did to America and Iraq. It tends to make the poster look like a childish twit…

Call me what you want. I have zero respect for anyone that supports the current leadership and I stand by my statement.

Not really. It makes the poster look halfway intelligent. But only halfway, because no one fell asleep and “let” 9/11 just happen.

These Moloch worshippers, money launderers, child traffickers, and pedophiles (sorry if I left anyone out) are the same whether they wear the logo of elephant or ass. The Republicans have Diebold and Sequoia to deliver them back to power, but don’t think for a minute the Democrats don’t wish they had their own hacked electronic voting machines.
