It doesn’t only affect the “new posts” results but also the “24” ones. It’s working around one time in ten for me at the moment. I have to be super quick to scroll down the page to hit the “next” button.
A simple thing you could do to help is to have the “next page” and the page numbers at the top of each newposts/24 results page, in addition to the bottom. That would save a little time scrolling and reduce the problem I think.
