Receive ballot by e-mail or fax

California voters might find this useful:

Dear Military/Overseas Voter,

New rules allow Uniformed Service members, including their spouses and dependents, and U.S. citizens residing temporarily or permanently overseas to receive ballots by e-mail or by fax rather than by postal mail. If you qualify and you want to receive your ballot by e-mail or fax, click on the link below to access the Request to Receive Your Ballot by E-mail or Fax.

Request to Receive Your Ballot by E-mail or Fax (PDF)

Please complete and submit the attached form by August 24, 2012 if you want to receive your ballot by e-mail or fax for November 6, 2012 election.

If you do not submit the Request to Receive Your Ballot by E-mail or Fax, you will continue to receive your ballot by first-class mail. The Department of Elections will mail, e-mail, or fax your ballot at least 45 days before every local, state, and federal election.

Sincerely,

Voter Services Division
