That’s my SO third from the left. He’s on for an hour from 9. Apparently that particular DJ session is followed by foreigners in drag, which begs the question: which of you forumosans volunteered?
I’m told it will be accompanied with fireworks and will also be set up with a screen to watch the 101 works.

I never understood the appeal of men in drag.

Dudes, there are about 20 bars in that little square. And you can bring a bag of yer own. There’s also an Alleycat’s and some other restaurants. All in the same wee place.
I would like to designate a hang out place. I’m coming from work and wont make it there until 9. And its going to crowded, pushy, cold, sucky. I don’t want to have to find where the cool kids hang out (ie, you!) so could you help a moron out and stake out a place, let us know where that is? 
As the prez said, there are lots of small pubs around the theater. They are all snuggly lined up, combining open-air and covered seating. I’m assuming that the DJ area will be set up so that many people in these can see it, but I’m not certain about the details; I just know I’ll be there.
As for women, that’s harder to tell. The Red Theater area is 56% otherwise. There will be ladies, but if you take one home, you might be in for a surprise.
I pretty much expect a mix of people - as is often found in Taiwanese gay-friendly spots.
