One of my external Hard Drives is acting crazy. It shows all the folders, files, related size etc. but I can’t open or copy files. This has old photographs and other material I wouldn’t wanna loose.

Any ideas how can I recover the data? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Have you done a windows Disk Check? It’s not foolproof, but it’s a good place to start. Make sure you tick the box that says ‘automatically repair errors’.
