Relationship between work permit and ARC 2020

Hi guys!

Changing jobs and just wanted to confirm the process and timeline according to the latest regulations.

I’m on a finding work visa. I have a valid ARC.
When I find work, I will apply for my work permit.
That takes 2 weeks.
I must then extend my ARC.
That takes 2 weeks.
I’m done.
Am I missing any steps?
Are my processing times off?

And changing purpose of ARC (finding work ARC to work ARC) requires a visa run?

No. You just change the purpose and get a new ARC with the same number instead of extending.
